Child’s Sleep Mask Crochet Pattern

Child's Sleep Mask Crochet Pattern

My girls love sleep masks! They think they’re very grown when they get to wear one to bed. So, this pattern was a request by them!

It is an easy pattern using basic crochet stitches and cotton yarn. You can customize by leaving the front blank, adding a word, or even closed eye/eye lashes. Other supplies needed are felt or fabric and elastic or a headband. I found the headband in the photo at Walmart for around $1 for 2. These work nice because they are already made to be worn in your hair, so they won’t pull your hair like plain elastic may.

Optional to take yarn and a tapestry needle to “write” on the outside of it. Or you could make closed eyes with yarn.

Take an elastic or headband and trim to fit around head. Trace over the felt in the shape of the sleep mask. Cut the felt.

Sew around the outside of the sleep mask and attach the elastic to the sides.
