Boot Cuffs look so cute with a pair of stylish boots. I have wondered before if they truly serve a purpose, but I have learned that I do feel warmer wearing them. They fit perfectly at the top of your boots. They fill in the gap between your pants and your boots. Make yourself a pair with this crochet pattern.

The boot cuffs are constructed using single crochet and half double crochet stitches. The single crochet stitches are made in the back loop only, which makes them stretchy. Complete them with small matching buttons.

The crochet pattern is for adult size, but can be altered to be smaller. Remember to make them a little snug because the yarn will stretch. They are made to be fitted.

Materials Needed

  • Size H 5.0mm crochet hook
  • Medium weight #4 yarn
  • scissors
  • tapestry needle
  • 2-4 buttons (optional)

Stitches Used

  • sc – single crochet
  • hdc – half double crochet
  • ch – chain
  • BLO – back loop only
  • sl st – slip stitch

Boot Cuffs Crochet Pattern Adult Size

Row 1: Ch 25, sc in 2nd ch from hook (in back bump of chain, see post here for how and why to crochet in the back of a chain) and each sc across. (24) ch 1 and turn

Row 2-32: sc in BLO of each stitch across (24) ch 1 and turn

Close cuff by sl st through both loops of first and last rows in each st across. Turn right side out. Do not finish off. You will now be working on the ends of the rows for the scalloped edges.

Scallop Edges:

Sl st to the last stitch at the top of  the closest row, *skip a row, place 4 hdc in top of next row, skip a row and sl st in top of next row*, repeat around. Join with sl st to first sl st. Finish off. Leave a long tail for sewing on buttons or weave in ends.

That’s it! Enjoy!
