Why you’ll love this cardigan pattern

The pattern uses basic crochet stitches: single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet. It is a no sew pattern and has a special technique for joining at the shoulders as you work the pattern. The shoulders are joined together while you work the front and back panels. The border is worked while joining to the front panels.

In this Part 1 of 2 video crochet cardigan tutorial, you will see the baby 6 month size worked from start to completing the body. You can find the written pattern instructions HERE for the Baby Size Cameo Cardigan! Find Part 2 of the crochet cardigan tutorial where you will add the sleeves HERE.

If you are working the other Cameo Cardigan Sizes, you will need to adjust the rows and stitches. With this crochet cardigan tutorial video, I really wanted to show you exactly how the shoulder joins are completed and give you some tips. I hope you enjoy this video and the Cameo Cardigan Crochet Patterns.

  1. Hello! I love this cardigan so much—especially since there is no sewing involved! I’m making it and plan to gift it to my mother for her 40th birthday!

I’m having some trouble with one part. I’m doing the size small adult pattern and I’m not understanding row 19. I finished the SC 80 but after that I’m stumped. I’ve viewed your video and the photos. :/

    1. Brittany can you email me a picture of where your stuck?

      1. Hi Jessica! I don’t have your email? Where can I find it?

  2. Very nice pattern. I’m just starting it. I can’t see from your video if the chain 2 at the beginning of the dc row is counted as a stitch.

    1. The beginning chain does not count as a stitch
